Historical Sites Swiss Style

Last weekend, my family took me on an incredible day trip to see the largest dam in Europe and the Pyramids d’Euseigne!! First, we stopped at a quaint restaurant in the mountains to eat chestnuts! I also ate from my very first cheese buffet! I’ve never seen so many types of fancy cheese arranged by how strong they were and their hardness. I have found that I like the gooey cheeses. Chestnuts are great! They do not have a strong taste, but they are perfect for a cold winter day. Afterwards, we headed to the dam. It was a literal slice of heaven! As soon as I stepped out of the car, little flakes of snow started to fall!! I was so overjoyed I wanted to cry! Papa bought us tickets for the cable car, (my first time in Switzerland) and we headed to the top! The sun was perfectly shining off the water and the mountains creating a view that truly left me speechless! We walked along the wall, and Papa told me all about the history and the massive amount of snow that is coming. The dam is closed all winter because the roads are covered in two meters of snow! Once we returned to the car, we headed to the Pyramids d’Euseigne! They are completely natural pyramids! We did some funny poses, and then headed home. I love exploring new parts of Switzerland and experiencing the culture!

Till the next adventure!
